In the first place, Deputy Director Xu Haihong led parents to learn the 'Charter of Anqing Foreign Language School's Parent Committee' and expounded the background and purpose of establishing the Parent Committee, which aimed to invite parents to participate in democratic management of the Senior High Department so that parents would understand and support the education and teaching work, contribute ideas and exert efforts for the development of the Senior High Department, spread advanced family education idea and scientific family education methods to achieve the objectives of jointly cultivating talents for home and school.

In the second place, through democratic elections, the conference elected Comrade Zhang Ling, Sheng Jinxian's mother, Director of the new Parent committee and Comrade Liu Meixia, Jiang Xiaolang's mother, Deputy Director of the new Parent Committee. Afterwards, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong issued the appointment letters to committee members who highly praised and felt satisfied with the work of the Senior High Department. Besides, they understood the foresight of the school and agreed with the school's educational philosophy. Thus, the assembly was held in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. More remarkably, the Parent Committee members spoke freely and put forward some constructive comments and suggestions on the development of the school and student management. They expressed that they would do a good job in communication, coordination and the corresponding publicity work with due diligence to create a favorable educational environment together with the school.

To sum up, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong delivered a warm speech in which he simply introduced the overall situation and development of the Senior High Department. He emphasized that he  listened attentively to the speeches of each committee member, responded to their concerns and hoped the Parent Committee would unite all the parents to support school work, believe Anqing Foreign Language School's teachers and trust their children to realize home-school collaboration and promote students' growth together.
